In Bamenda, I stayed with the David and Manal Gillett (Ramin their son being in the States at the moment, but who will be going to Tanzania soon), a pioneer family with whom I grew up. They are staying in what used to be the Frooghi’s house, which I remembered from my childhood. The house in general was familiar, as well as the path to get to it from the main road.

lessan joon, this has been the best few minutes of my entire week, month, year! the pictures (and your accompanying stories) are AMAZING. So many memories are coming back to me …. seeing our old home again … the match box, the ugly mud … LOVE IT !!!
HEY, it was great talking to you the other day! i am sorry if you tried calling also saturday – my phone was dead the whole weekend and i lost my battery charger. i still havent found the charger, so i am using an old phone now 🙂 🙂
